Canon XA-10 Camcorder Test

“Morning Song” off the record “Stories I Tell” obtained and used by the permission of Ben G a singer/songwriter from London, ON Visit Ben G at www.myspace.com Stories I tell in stores across Canada now. The Canon XA-10 Camcorder Test: The Canon XA-10 Camcorder Test was done with raw video from the Canon XA-10, it was shot with a stock version of the camera with no microphone attached, the quality of the internal mic is decent at best, and I removed the audio under the assumption that anyone using this camera would have an external microphone. The XA-10 worked VERY well in every lighting condition I tossed at it, the infrared was not tested, simply because I am under the belief not many people would use with function, but it is however true IR shooting, and does work quite well (With relatively light noise). I was quite impressed with the AF functionality of the camera, we were usually taught to keep AF off when using professional camera’s, but with the facial recognition and the ability to follow focus whatever you choose, its hard to not keep it on. Very few times did I have accidental mis-focuses. The zoom on the XA-10 is optical, but also has a nifty digital zoom option. While I normally suggest staying away from this, up to 2x the digital zoom is not at all to bad. My only complaint on this camera would be the lack of optical zoom dial on the lens, instead Canon opted for a oddly placed zoom control on top of the body of the camera. The IS option works very well in

Do all the Canon Powershot digital cameras have a video option?

Question by Kawaii: Do all the Canon Powershot digital cameras have a video option?
I want to get the Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS but I don’t know if it can record videos. Does it record videos and do you think it’s good?
If it does, how long could it record for, I want to make youtube videos for it. If it depends on the memory card which do you reccomend I get?

Question by Bird N: If you were to buy a desktop, would you opt for the Digital TV tuner option?
and would it be able to display standard cable. Thanks.

I wouldn’t, because we have a great TV setup in the other room. But more and more people now are combining the function of TV and computer, in fact more computers and TVs are made with this in mind. In the future (the NEAR future) they will merge into one appliance where you can download movies and other program material and watch it, play videogames online or in competition with other users elsewhere, etc.

Yes a digital TV tuner would work with a standard cable setup. You just have to hook the output of the cable box to the tuner. You can not only watch TV but record it, do ‘time shifting’, record DVDs, etc. etc. In other words the computer takes on the function of a TV, a TIVO and DVD recorder.
