Don’t do that. Instead, shoot at your cameras highest optical zoom range and then later crop it using the crop tool on your computers photo program. Be sure you are shooting at your cameras highest resolution when you shoot the original images. This will assure that your cropped photos will be of the highest quality your camera will produce.

I hope you know that a digital zoom is nothing more than cropping a lot of the cameras sensor out of the file, thus adding pixelation and noise to your image
